What is Clipbot TV and How Do Gamers Use It?

There are two different clipbots

One for Minecraft, and one for creating video content for TikTok and YouTube shorts

Since I am not a Minecraft player, I will not be talking about the clipbot from Minecraft

Clipbot, or Clipbot.tv, is a service that takes your gaming clips and automatically turns them into YouTube shorts or TikTok videos. Then it automatically posts those videos as well. The goal is to allow streamers to focus on streaming instead of video editing

When you are a small streamer, you are a one-man show

You do everything

If you are streaming to make money, that means you have a business

So you need to keep track of finances, create and keep a consistent schedule, promote your stream, edit your videos, and more

All of that on top of what you are doing outside of streaming

There are options to help lower your workload, but there are advantages and disadvantages

What is Clipbot?

Clipbot is a software that has both free and paid options

It was created to help streamers promote their stream on TikTok and YouTube shorts

If order to grow on those platforms, you need to download your content, edit it, and then upload it to the platform you chose

Don’t forget about extras like titles, captions, descriptions, and hashtags

If you work full-time on top of streaming, doing your regular streaming and all of that can feel very overwhelming

There are just not enough hours in the day!

Clipbot can help you with that load

If you have under 2000 followers on Twitch, you can use Clipbot for free

But there will be a watermark

If you have over 2000 followers, Clipbot is $9 a month (as of 2022)

For current prices, check out their website

What are the features gamers can use?

You connect it to your Twitch channel and it will create and post clips from your stream to YouTube shorts or TikTok automatically

You log into TikTok and YouTube once and give the software permission to post for you

It changes horizontal videos to vertical videos automatically after you do it once

It has the option to upload automatically or you can choose what clips you want to upload manually

Filters your clips and chooses the best ones based on Twitch views

Has the option to crop any clip any way that you like

It also has push-button clipping

You can push F10 anytime during your stream and Clipbot will upload the last 30-seconds automatically

Clipbot has excellent reviews online

Users report that it is easy to use and there is excellent support

Clipbot is a great choice if you need to automate some of your responsibility

What are the advantages of using Clipbot?

The features pretty clearly show advantages, but let’s talk about what that means for you

YouTube shorts and TikTok are huge right now

You can also use snaptik.app to download your TIkToks after they are posted to put on Facebook Reels or Instagram reels if you wanted to

Creating videos appropriate to post takes a lot of time

It takes time to do it and it takes time to learn it

Clipbot offers to take that off your plate

By automating all your content creation, you can focus on other things that need your attention

Since you only have to log into your TikTok and YouTube once, that is time saved as well

Without Clipbot, you need to manually change your horizontal videos to vertical videos

If you are worried about completely having a hands-off approach, you can set uploading to manual instead of automatic

This allows you to check the clips before they are uploaded

And if something that you really love happens while you are streaming, you just need to press F10 and it will automatically grab the last 30-seconds and post them

All of these features lead to one major advantage

It saves you time

What are the disadvantages?

Now that we clearly see how Clipbot can help you, there are disadvantages

You won’t be able to add special things like text and popups that increase your engagement

It is possible to grow without them, but most people watch TikTok and shorts with their sounds off

That means you have to catch their attention enough to not only watch your video once but watch it a second time with the sound on

This is very difficult for beginners to do

You also can’t choose hashtags that will help you on TikTok or SEO that will help you on YouTube shorts

While a lot of views from shorts come from the algorithm, a lot of views come from people searching for something too

That is another area that you can miss out on traffic

If you are new to streaming and have never edited before, I don’t recommend just jumping to any software that does it for you

You cannot appreciate it without understanding the work

And if you ever do need to edit your own video, you will have to learn fast

Or pay someone else to do it

But that has risks too

If you don’t know what you are doing, it is hard to tell if the person you are paying knows what they are doing

I recommend spending some time while you are a small streamer to learn how to edit your videos

You will still need that skill for the longer YouTube videos

If you wait until you are a bigger streamer, finding the time to learn will be a lot harder

Once you know how to edit your videos and upload them manually, then you can start thinking about using software to take over
